Greetings soldiers and welcome back once again to join us through the epic waves of ANO news. I’m Talkair, one of your trusted captains on this epic journey. This time, we'll be joined by some new captains, some of whom had made a cameo back in volume 17. Time to set sail soldiers, and don’t forget to hold on tight as we make our way through the epic seas of the latest news!

Greetings to all readers! I’m DragonZftw and I’ll be covering all recent happenings in both Titans’ Valor and Wynncraft.

First things first, promotions! Many new Warlocks have joined our legion since the last edition, so congratulations to, in no particular order: CattenXP, Kusuris, Attila7, Alienpretzel, _Skiddly_, DylM05, wo2w, Caulan, Steve4212, Potatoking726, Yathin_, c3lt, MxMood, ThatsSoRelatable, SmmyChoise, winkape, _EraserX_, Your_Name123, bigyummywhale, BasileusXX, xMoonBunny, sleepycloud606, Blazing_Fang, AmbassadorMag, mesussy, ZoSo, and SmilyBaker6043!

Seven new Artificers have also risen through the ranks, so please give a round of applause to: ElementaStrider, MFLR5, ibu1104, PotatoKing726, c31t, and KindyyBee. A massive well done to all!

And last but certainly least, give it up for our three new Titans: __Martyy, Hibikies, and Supa_Knova! Huge congratulations on entering the big leagues of ANO! đź’Ş

With that aside, we once again have risen not one, not two but three levels since the last volume, reaching level 112! Huge thanks to all our raiders!

Level 112
GG!

In terms of the larger world of Wynncraft, the CT have been hard at work on a certain province. Fruma is set to release in 2025! As of now there is no set release date, but that won’t stop me from being hyped!

With that aside, some new changes have been made to the Acrobat archetype, adding new abilities such as Swan Dive and Stomp to spice up Acro’s gameplay (rest in peace pirouette though). Paladin also received changes with Heavenly Trumpet, and Luster Purge being added, as well as Second Chance now working in lootrun challenges. Furthermore, Acolyte has also received a new ability in the form of Eldritch Call.

Sadly, there have been no major additions to gameplay this time, so we can only hope that will have changed by next edition!

It’s been a pleasure to cover this edition's recent happenings, so I hope to see you all again in the next edition!

What's in the Cupboard?: ANO Cabinet Review

Hey ANO! Desertstorm49 here once again to bring you the info on what the Spirit Cabinet has been working on since the last edition.

Spirits

Surprising nobody, the Spirit Cabinet has once again been doing fantastic work for the guild, using their creativity to create a total of five events for ANO over the past few months, with the most events out of all being hosted by user Desertstorm49 (me!?)

Event #1: ANO Spirits capped off January with a Gladiator Duel! In this event, Hosted by Desertstorm49 (yours truly) 12 players entered a bracket and fought a series of duels in order to prove their combat excellence, ultimately culminating with user Zepart being declared the winner of the event!

Event #2: The Gladiator Event was then followed by an important milestone: The 5-and-a-half year anniversary of the Empire of Sindria! Hosted by user Biblonko, this event wasn’t a competition, but rather a celebration of how long ESI has endured. The event was hosted at the ESI guild housing where players from many different guilds got together to celebrate and just have a good time in general.

Event #3: This celebration was then followed with an extremely ambitious event hosted by user Lamplesspost: Wynnguessr! In Wynnguessr, players played a game similar to the popular website game “Geoguessr” where you’re given a random location on Google Maps and must trace its location. However, in this version of the game, players were given an image of a random location in Wynncraft, then were forced to put their knowledge of Wynncraft’s map to the test by trying to guess its location.

Event #4: Contrasting the previous knowledge-based Wynncraft game, the following event was a combat-based event: Wynncraft Graid Gauntlet! Hosted by user Overfears, in this event, teams competed against each other to complete all four guild raids in order, with the fastest time winning!

Event #5: Our final event that ANO Spirits hosted was Wynncraft Kahoot! In this event hosted once more by Desertstorm49 (me again?), players competed to demonstrate their Wynncraft knowledge by answering a series of 30 questions about Wynncraft trivia on the game website “Kahoot”, with some questions being obvious, other questions could only be answered by the most knowledgeable of Wynncraft veterans (buncha nerds the lot of them).

As you’ve seen, our Spirits Cabinet has remained hard at work, making sure that they consistently deliver fun events for the whole guild to enjoy. May they continue to produce events of this quality for many more years to come!

Brilliance

Woah! Moving swiftly back to Talkair, let’s dive straight into our Brilliance team’s news. As always, brilliance never fails to impress working hard as hell to deliver.

The main achievement this time was battling their war against the bot bugs. One of these was their battle against the bug with multiple uuids. This bug is reportedly in the process of being fixed and hopefully soon will be repaired.

Moving on, an epic victory was achieved as the bug in the guild raid tracking had finally been repaired! For those who are not aware, guilds over level 130 did not have their xp requirements increased. Instead, it remained flat. Thanks to the brilliance crew’s hard battle, we emerged victorious in our efforts to fix the matter!

Brilliance had also stated that they have some pretty epic work in progress commands being cooked behind the scenes, so don’t forget to keep an eye out soldiers. Let’s give a wave of applause for these brilliant (see what I did there?) people and their efforts at keeping ANO tech at bay.

Time to close up the cabinets! I hope you all had an awesome read. As usual, spirits and brilliance are always looking forward to new recruits. So if you have an interest in these respective fields, don’t hesitate to apply, we always welcome newcomers with open arms.

Military Updates ⚔️

Hello! Supa_Knova and KindyyBee here to ask the question: Do bees belong in space? (surely not) But aside from that we’re also here to cover the latest military announcements!

Coming in with five new strategists, we have the fantastic Filda4515, PiglinRose, MFLR5, Aethei, and ElementaStrider. All of our new strategists have contributed to tons of guild raids and warring, and have been friendly and helpful to new and long-time members. Thank you for keeping the ocean safe and congratulations on your promotions!

Now for the warring season, we ended Season 22 with ANO coming in sixth place. A round of applause to Filda4515, contributing 1,024 wars, taking home the title of Champion of the Ocean. Coming in second was KindyyBee with 606 wars, followed by Supa_Knova with 310 wars!

Huge thanks to all our warrers for keeping ANO waters safe! Keep up the good work soldiers!

Main Stage: A look at Wynncraft’s Festivals

Written by Lamplesspost

Hey everyone! I’m Lamplesspost and welcome back to the main stage of Titan Times. In past editions I’ve discussed everything from quests to dungeons to areas of the map (raids when?) but now it’s time to talk about festivals! As you probably already know, Wynncraft has 4 festivals that take place throughout the year, and today I’m going to be talking about what I think each one does well in terms of aesthetic, minigames and other event exclusives, as well as areas I think could do with improvement.

Festival of the Heroes

Let’s kick off with the first festival of the year, and the one currently happening- The Festival of the Heroes! The main feature of this event is as always, the minigame. And it’s well, alright I guess. It’s not by any means badly designed but it just falls short compared to the better minigames later on this list. I don’t know if this is just me but I always found it jarring going from attacking other players to suddenly teaming up with them to defeat the hero. All in all, the game isn’t particularly exciting either, it’s mostly clicking boss mobs to farm resources, and the pvp is pretty much just shooting a particle beam or dagger slash in a player’s general direction, though there are some cooler abilities. The addition of some new heroes would definitely be a welcome addition, as the 3 we have at the moment get a bit stale pretty quickly. And that’s not even mentioning the only one out of them who’s really a hero is Tisaun (screw Lari).

Festival of the Heroes

The next part of the festival I want to cover is the scavenger hunt. Out of all the hunt festival activities, I reckon this is a contender for the best. It’s basically wynncraft geoguessr which I think makes it a bit more unique and interesting than the others, as well as slightly easier (don’t get me wrong you’ll still have to use the wiki unless you have an encyclopedic knowledge of every pixel on the map). And then there’s the carnival games… which exist. There’s really not much to them other than the shoot the bottle game is a nice way to get more tokens. The performances every few hours to get buffs are also a cool addition that adds a little something more to the festival. All in all The Festival of The Heroes is not the worst, but it’s probably not the best.

Festival of the Bonfire

Moving swiftly onwards to our next festival- The Festival of the Bonfire! First up once again, let’s talk about the minigame. The Battle for the Bonfire is… probably the worst out of the 4. The first phase is another bog standard resource collection challenge, and the second phase does make it a bit more exciting, but it’s nothing too out there. But what about the combat? It’s very similar to the pvp mechanics in the Claim to Heroism (aka fairly boring), though I will say the runes you can pick up around the map that give you various boosts and effects definitely spice it up and make it more interesting compared to the aforementioned Claim to Heroism. Don’t get me wrong it’s not necessarily bad per say, it’s just overshadowed by the other 2 I’ve yet to discuss. You can still have a lot of fun with it and perhaps some tweaks in the future could put it up to scratch with the more modern festival minigames.

Festival of the Bonfire

The only other part of this festival left to discuss is the hearthflame hunt. It’s decent enough I guess, but nothing too crazy. The best thing going for it is that it’s not a copy paste of another hunt. It’s unique, just not particularly exciting. I do like the way you're essentially keeping the torches of resistance burning across the map though, with each city and town having its own little message. I don’t know if it’s just me but there is something nice about that. And that’s us done with this festival, there's definitely less content in this one than the previous, and that might be part of the reason why I think it could be argued to be the worst festival. Similarly to its minigame, it’s not bad, just not as good as the others.

Festival of the Spirits

Next up, the Festival of the Spirits, certainly the spookiest festival of them all. But let’s cut straight to the chase- Banish the Beyond is the best minecraft minigame I have ever played. It’s both incredibly fun and incredibly terrifying all at the same time. There’s nothing in Wynncraft scarier than being hunted down by a guildmate in the guise of a powerful spirit ready to scare the daylights out of you at any moment (especially if it’s Geb). I love how every spirit has a completely unique design and kit, with different abilities to cyberbully your party members or run screaming in terror away from. The combat mechanics, or rather lack thereof, really sell the helplessness of being a survivor. Only being able to briefly stun the spirit maintains the feeling that the spirit is far more powerful than you but also allows you to pull off some crazy jukes if you’re good enough. The best part about this is so far they’ve actually updated it, adding two new spirits in the last festival. Hopefully this means we could get even more spirits in further updates, or even new maps (pretty please!).

Festival of the Spirits

The next part of this festival worth talking about is the guiding of the spirits. Having to work out the location through riddles is always fun, even if half the time I don’t have the slightest clue of where it could be. The only other thing really left to talk about is the drawing of the spirits, which is pretty much just a raffle. I’ll never be a fan of having to be on at a specific time to get the big draw (partially because it always seems to be at midnight for me), but I suppose it’s a nice way of getting some extra runes and emeralds, as well as a couple of exclusive collectibles. With all of that covered, the big question is, is this the best festival? This time last year I would have said yes; now I’m not so sure. Thanks to an update to our final festival, the Festival of the Spirits has a strong contender.

Festival of the Blizzard

We’ve made it to the final festival on this list, the Festival of the Blizzard. In years prior to the 2024 festival, I would’ve ranked this festival pretty low. But as I alluded to previously, the 2024 festival gave us an update that definitely bumps it up a space or two. Blizzard Brawl! This minigame is basically a Wynncraft hero shooter, and man is it fun. Truly there is nothing more satisfying than stomping on some poor innocent soul as Dr Legendary in a mech suit. I love how each hero has a completely different ability set and playstyle from all the others, while all managing to be easy enough to learn in a few minutes. This minigame is very similar to banish the beyond in that it’s very easy to accidentally spend several hours at a time playing it without actually realising, which goes to show how well designed it is (surely better than overwatch). My only real complaint about Blizzard Brawl is that there’s only one map, and only a few heroes in each role (also the roles are kind of inconsequential but who cares). Hopefully in future updates we’ll get more maps and heroes, though right now I think the CT is a little busy working on a certain province starting with F.

Festival of the Blizzard

Next on our list of things to talk about this festival is the Festival Invitations. These are less of a hunt than the other similar activities, but it definitely fits the Christmas-y theme of the festival more. It’s cool to see a lot of characters we’ve not seen for a while again, and then go through every dialogue option to see if there’s any significant lore (or is that just me?).

The final part of this festival worth discussing is the Wynnter Fair. It’s a collection of small, simple minigames that are fun for about 10 minutes at most. The only thing to get from here is the trinkets to be honest, but it’s a nice little addition to the world. So does the addition of Blizzard Brawl make this the best festival? In my opinion it's tied with the Festival of the Spirits but really it’s up to personal preference.

And with that we’ve reached the end once more! I hope you enjoyed reading, and I’ll see you all next edition!
